Dear Eugene
At last a moment to write you a mail thanking you for a very enjoyable
week-end at your conference, and for your hard work in making it happen, and
for sending me all the information needed for me to attend at such short
notice. It was a pleasure to meet you and the other attendees, including
Chris Marks, and to have the opportunity to learn so much more about the
ideas of IIlig and Fomenko. I am only sorry that my lack of German rather
limited my participation, but your friend - I'm sorry that, with a glass of
scotch to hand, I can't remember his name - the translator did a great job
in helping me appreciate the talks. Please thank him again for me. If you
have a list of those present with contact E-mail addresses, I'd much
appreciate a copy.
Please also thank Hans for me - he took me very kindly all the way to the
airport, a great courtesy, much appreciated.
The British Museum conference on ancient astronomy was also very
interesting, so I've a lot of work to do to write up notes on both events,
as soon as I've caught up with other urgent matters. I think Henry Zemel,
who was also at this conference, will go home well pleased with the contacts
he has made, and with much to reflect upon.
Attached is the full article on the Dark Ages of Isreal as written for
possible publication in the Spectator - the opening may be changed to suit
any particular audience. I am wondering if you will be contemplating
translating it into German? The point about it for revisionists, as distinct
from the general reader, that is not specifically stated in the article, is
that they should not use Israel's archaeological ages in comparison with
Egyptian finds to then make assumptions about Egyptian dates.
I am also wondering if it would be a good idea to send it to that chap from
Magazin2002. Would welcome your thoughts in due course.
With best regards, John
